Teegarden's Star is also called SO 025300.5+165258 or SO 0253+1652 and informally Proxima Arietis. Nearby Red Dwarf star system with flares. It was found in 2003 by inspecting photographs used to discover near earth asteroids, whose motion can spot nearby stars with high proper motion. Only six other stars have a proper motion of more than 5 arcseconds per year.
